The 15th annual International Bullying Prevention Conference, November 5-7 in San Diego brings together professionals working with youth across the globe on bullying prevention.

SAN DIEGO, CA, February 28, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — Keynote presenters at the bullying prevention conference include social activist Monica Lewinsky, whose story is powerful and relatable to all of us simply because we live and work within a culture where shame and humiliation are used to divide, tear down, and otherwise destroy others emotionally and reputationally. Ms. Lewinsky is an International public speaker and Contributing Editor to Vanity Fair. She is an ambassador to the Diana Award’s Anti-Bullying Program and a founding member of the Childhood Resilience Foundation.

Through an interactive, challenging and energetic closing keynote, Dr. Eddie Moore will contextualize our current situation while examining and exploring the major issues of diversity, privilege, oppression and power which affect our perspectives and choices. Furthermore, he boldly challenges participants to examine their own biases, behaviors and belief systems.

“Bullying is a serious problem among today’s youth, making our prevention efforts increasingly relevant,” stated Lynn Lonsway, executive director of the IBPA. “Our conference focuses on providing attendees with strategies and tools they can immediately implement in their schools and communities, we are looking forward to the opportunity to share these.”

Participants include school counselors, administrators, social workers, mental health coordinators, school nurses, law enforcement, community agency staff and student service coordinators. The conference will feature three days of workshops and sessions that focus on practical, hands-on solutions and theoretical, research-based presentations for individuals who work closely with youth as well as an extensive exhibit hall providing resources.
