The International Bullying Prevention Association was created in 2003 by a small group of practitioners dedicated to advancing bullying prevention best practices. Globally, more than 9 out of 10 youth say that the persistent presence of bullying in their communities is a major issue in need of addressing. Across the United States, over 70% of school-aged children witness bullying in their schools, and an estimated 200,000 children will stay home from school each day due to bullying. The social, political, and economic ramifications of not completing high school are staggering; so much so that organizations and schools across the globe are working tirelessly to increase safety and better support positive youth development. The International Bullying Prevention Association (IBPA), which was founded in 2003 and is now the premier global organization dedicated to advancing bullying prevention best practices, is hosting its 16th annual conference November 7-9, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. I invite you to join us as a sponsor or exhibitor.
- Interact with over 700 participants from across the globe
- Connect with teachers, researchers, community agencies, parents, law enforcement and others who are concerned about children and youth.
- Limited to 30 exhibitors, intentionally small IBPA exhibit hall creates more opportunities for in-depth interaction with participants; without the fear of becoming lost in the maze of a crowded exhibit hall.
- Dedicated exhibit hours, food and beverage functions in the hall, an interactive mobile app that allow for you and your company to connect with decision-makers across multiple sectors.
In addition to incredible sessions, various work groups, a social media panel and student-led sessions, we have added an online gaming panel: addressing topics such as cyberbullying, restorative practices, and strategies for improving school climate. This year, the IBPA is honored to welcome keynote presentations from Dr. Jeanette Betancourt with Sesame Street in Communities, and Maya Enista Smith with Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.
The IBPA Board of Directors strongly encourages you to consider becoming a partner of this important conference. The exhibit hall sells out each year, so we urge you to act quickly as space will fill up fast. Please work with us to make a difference in addressing a problem that is far too prevalent in our nation and in our world. Attached are the Sponsor and Exhibitor Opportunities. Thank you, in advance, for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Lynn Lonsway
